We closed on our construction loan August 25, 2011.  After moving out of our house of the last nine years, the four of us are currently staying in a two bedroom, one bath apartment in Pensacola while our home is being built.  Needless to say, space is very limited and I think we all are more than ready to be in our new home!

 After telling our Builder, Kevin Ward, what we wanted in a home and having many meetings and sending numerous emails back and forth, we settled on these plans:
 

The exterior will be brick and a material called HardiPlank which is a form of decorative concrete.  It is extremely durable and very low maintenance.  It looks fantastic on homes too!  There will be recessed lighting in each on of the peaks in the roof as well as under some of the soffets:  

The total square footage of the home including the garage is 3248.  This is over twice the room we had in our previous home and much more than we have now in our apartment!  We aren't going to know how to act!

Most of the living space is on the bottom floor with a nice sized bonus room upstairs.  We will use this as a media (home theater) room and a game room.  I wouldn't mind putting a pool table up there in the future.
